Updates on the stock market: Sensex Up 150 Points, Nifty Tops 18,850, HAL Up 2%

<p>Against the weakening global trend, domestic stocks began the week well.A record high of 63,583 was last reached on December 1, 2022, although the S&P BSE Sensex increased 116 points to quote at 63,500 levels.</p>
<p>The Nifty50 reached 18,871 while rising 45 points. <p>The BSE MidCap and SmallCap indexes increased up to 0.62 percent along with the leading indices in the wider markets.</p>
<p>The Nifty Metal index increased by 8% among industries, followed by the Nifty Pharma index by 5%.</p>
<p>World cues</p>
<p>Markets elsewhere in Asia mostly declined on Monday, with Japan’s markets remaining close to 33-year highs at 33,607 (down 0.29%). The Hang Seng index in Hong Kong began 0.48 percent down, while the Kospi in South Korea fell 0.77 percent.</p>
<p>Due to Juneteenth, US markets will be closed on Monday. All three main indices concluded Friday’s trading session down up to 0.68 percent.</p>
