The vanilla and Pro editions of the new X90 line of phones from Vivo were introduced in India. Given its 1-inch Zeiss lens and other hardware capabilities, it is understandable that the X90 Pro has captured the most of the media attention. However, Vivo has determined that the basic X90 can't simply be there to boost sales, and when you go over its features, you'll see that it's not all that different from the X90 Pro, even if the standard model only costs Rs 59,999.
In what ways does the Vivo X90 differ from its more expensive sister, and can it successfully compete with the Samsung Galaxy S23 and the Google Pixel 7 in India? In order to provide you with the answer in this review, we utilized the gadget for a few weeks.
Review of the Vivo X90: What's Cool?
In our prior review, we covered the Vivo X90 Pro's display, performance, and cameras. And the majority of these characteristics also apply to the X90 variant. The imitation leather of the X90 Pro has been replaced with a glassy textured substance, which dramatically changes the aesthetic finish.

Although we like the leather-like feel, the X90's textured surface isn't at all awful. The full HD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate is great, and the panel's output of colors is similar to that of the Pro model.

No matter what sort of use you want from your phone, Vivo has also employed the same MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC to power the X90, and you get it with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage that will keep you satisfied. Most of the time, the chipset's effective heat management enables you to get more use out of the built-in battery.
The 1-inch sensor is absent from the X90.
The greatest difference is that there isn't a 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor in the camera section. Despite this, Vivo was able to include a respectable set of cameras that, in their own right, are fairly adequate in the majority of situations. Review of the VIVO X90: What Isn't So Cool?
In all honesty, there wasn't much about the X90 that we disliked. In actuality, the X90 delivers a lot of functionality for the price you pay. Having said that, the 1-inch main sensor, which is a game-changer in many aspects, is absent, and the stock X90 does not allow wireless charging. The X90 won't seem like a sacrifice if you can get beyond these discrepancies.
REVIEW OF THE VIVO X90: SHOULD YOU BUY?
Although the Vivo X90 is a premium phone that doesn't cost Rs 80,000, it makes a compelling argument for consideration by closely matching the X90 Pro's specifications. The X90 has the same hardware as the Pro version and costs substantially less if you don't require a camera with a 1-inch sensor or wireless charging capability. The X90 is a good choice for purchasers if their budget does not exceed Rs 65,000 and they are open to go outside of the vanilla Android experience.
